Happy bowl season, you guys! I don’t know when exactly this happened, but every single meal in my house now lives in a bowl. Cereal, dinner, dessert, all of it, lol!
Honestly, how could I possibly resist a meal where everything just gets piled on top of rice and called dinner? I can’t! It’s the laziest looking food that somehow always tastes the most put together.
Last week someone brought Oui jars for the leftovers and now half of us collect them, haha!
Since everyone keeps asking what I’m making for dinner this year, I’ve gathered 20 adorable bowl ideas the entire family will love. Don’t fret if you’ve never built a bowl before, there’s truly no wrong way to do it!
From tahini drizzled veggies to poke, rice and yogurt, there’s something in here for every mood. Under each idea I’ve added the little details you actually want to know, plus a link to the full step-by-step.
Grab a fork, or honestly just grab a spoon. Who’s ready to dig in?
BOWL IDEAS
1. Rainbow Buddha Bowl With Tahini
We’re starting off strong with a rainbow buddha bowl piled high with veggies. My fridge drawer usually decides what goes in, so no two batches ever look the same. Tahini gets drizzled on top and ties it all together without much effort.
Purple cabbage sneaks in more than anything else lately. I swear it just makes the whole thing look fancier than it actually is! A handful of pumpkin seeds on top never hurts either.
- Fridge cleanout special
- Tahini pulls it together in one drizzle
- Whatever veggies are left work here
2. Smoothie Bowl With Fresh Berries
This smoothie bowl is basically dessert pretending to be breakfast. My freezer always has a stash of fruit ready for exactly this. Fresh berries go on top and suddenly it looks like a cafe menu item.
Freeze the fruit ahead so the base stays thick, not soupy. It never survives past ten minutes at my table, lol! A few granola clusters add the crunch it’s missing.
- Spoon it, don’t sip it
- Frozen fruit keeps it thick
- Berries go on last for the photo
3. Taco Bowl With Ground Beef
Taco night gets a little easier when it’s just one bowl instead of a pile of shells falling apart everywhere. Ground beef, lettuce, cheese, the works, all stacked up together.
This is the dinner that disappears fastest at our house. Nobody complains when taco night shows up twice in one week, lol! Extra lime wedges on the side are a must.
- No shell, no mess
- Ground beef seasons in ten minutes
- Toppings are whatever’s in the pantry
4. Mediterranean Chickpea Salad Bowl
The Mediterranean chickpea salad bowl is what I bring to every potluck now. It holds up in the fridge for days, which honestly feels like a small miracle.
Chickpeas, cucumber, feta and a lemony dressing do all the heavy lifting here. Who doesn’t love a dish that tastes even better the next day?
- Fridge for days, still crisp
- Chickpeas hold their bite
- Lemon dressing brightens everything
5. Breakfast Burrito Bowl With Eggs
Is it really a lazy Sunday without a breakfast burrito bowl? Not in my book! Scrambled eggs, beans and salsa land right on top of the rice instead of getting wrapped up.
It saves the hassle of the tortilla tearing halfway through breakfast, which happens to me embarrassingly often, haha! A dollop of sour cream on top seals the deal.
- Zero tortilla tearing
- Eggs scramble in five minutes
- Salsa straight from the jar works fine
6. Vegan Lentil Bowl With Avocado
This vegan lentil bowl with avocado is the one my vegetarian neighbor requests every time she comes over. Lentils bring the protein and the avocado brings the creamy part.
It comes together in one pot, which matters more to me than almost anything else on a weeknight. A squeeze of lime at the end brightens the whole bowl.
- One pot, done fast
- Lentils simmer in twenty minutes
- Avocado goes on right before serving
7. Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl
OMG! Are you guys seeing this spicy tuna poke bowl right now? The sesame oil and sriracha combo is exactly the kind of heat I chase all year.
Poke these like this one make raw fish feel approachable even for beginners. Sushi grade tuna from a good fish counter makes all the difference here. How good does that sound right about now?
- Sushi counter, home kitchen
- Sriracha mayo drizzles right on top
8. Salmon Poke Bowl With Mango
The salmon poke bowl with mango is easily the prettiest thing on this list. My guests always assume I spent hours on it. This is the one I make when people come over expecting something impressive.
Truth is mango and salmon just do all the work for me. Nobody needs to know how little effort went in, haha!
- Looks fancy, isn’t
- Mango adds the sweet contrast
- No cooking required at all
9. Vegan Tofu Poke Bowl
Who says poke needs seafood? This vegan tofu poke bowl proves otherwise. Marinated tofu cubes soak up soy sauce and sesame like little sponges.
A sprinkle of scallions finishes it off nicely.
- Fish-free, still fun
- Tofu marinates while you chop veggies
- Sesame seeds finish it off
10. Korean Bibimbap Rice Bowl
Rice these don’t get much better than a proper bibimbap. Every veggie gets its own little pile, arranged like a rainbow before you mix it all together.
The fried egg on top is nonnegotiable in my house. Breaking the yolk over everything is honestly half the fun, lol!
- Break the yolk, mix it all
- Each veggie sautees separately
- Gochujang brings the kick
11. Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl
This teriyaki chicken rice bowl is the dinner I make when I don’t feel like thinking too hard. Sticky sweet chicken over rice, that’s the whole plan.
It reheats beautifully too, so leftovers the next day taste just as good. A quick toast of sesame seeds on top makes it feel brand new again.
- Better the next day
- Sauce thickens in the same pan
- Leftovers reheat without drying out
12. Cilantro Lime Rice Bowl
Cilantro lime rice is the unsung hero of half my dinners. It turns even the most boring leftovers into something that tastes intentional.
This one takes plain rice from forgettable to the base everyone fights over. Am I right?
- Plain rice, upgraded
- Lime juice goes in while it’s warm
- Cilantro chops in seconds
13. Greek Yogurt Bowl With Granola
Yogurt these are basically my whole breakfast rotation lately. This one layers Greek yogurt with granola for crunch in every single bite.
The neighborhood kids still talk about the time I let them build their own toppings bar for this. It got messy fast, haha!
- Crunch in every bite
- Granola stays crisp if added last
- Honey drizzle is optional but strongly suggested
14. Peanut Butter Yogurt Bowl
Peanut butter and yogurt might sound strange together, but trust it. The peanut butter melts slightly into the cold yogurt and it’s genuinely dreamy.
Not that I’m biased toward anything peanut butter, but this is a top pick, haha! A drizzle of honey on top makes it downright irresistible.
- Melty peanut butter swirl
- Warm the peanut butter slightly first
- Banana slices add extra sweetness
15. Frozen Yogurt Bark Bowl
This frozen yogurt bark bowl is the treat I make when it’s way too hot to bake anything. Yogurt gets spread thin, topped with fruit and frozen solid.
Snap it into pieces once it’s hard. It disappears from the freezer faster than actual ice cream does at our house.
- Freezer trick, no ice cream maker
- Yogurt spreads thin on a tray
- Fruit presses in before freezing
16. Honey Pistachio Yoghurt Bowl
Honey and pistachio over yoghurt these like this one feel fancy without much work. This is the breakfast I serve when relatives visit unannounced.
Pistachios add crunch that yoghurt just cannot fake on its own. It works every single time, lol!
- Looks like you tried harder
- Pistachios add the crunch
- Honey drizzles right before serving
17. Tropical Mango Yoghurt Bowl
Want a tropical breakfast without booking a flight? My answer lately is this mango yoghurt bowl. Bright mango chunks over cool yoghurt feel like a mini vacation on a weekday.
Toasted coconut on top brings the whole thing home. My mornings have honestly never been this dramatic, haha!
- Vacation, no flight needed
- Mango adds instant sweetness
- Toasted coconut finishes it off
18. Oui Jar Herb Planter
Got a bunch of empty oui yogurt jars ideas floating around your kitchen? My windowsill collection finally gave them a job. The glass jars look surprisingly sweet lined up in a row.
Drill a small drainage hole before filling with soil, or the roots will rot. Basil and mint do best in mine every single time! How cute is this?
- Windowsill herbs, upcycled
- Jars rinse clean in seconds
- Basil thrives in the small size
19. Oui Jar Candle Craft
This Oui jar candle craft is the gift I make for neighbors every winter. Melted wax poured straight into the glass turns an empty jar into something people actually keep.
It smells like the holidays are already here the second you light it. Who wouldn’t want one of these on their nightstand?
- Neighbor gift, already boxed
- Cotton wicks center themselves easily
20. Oui Jar Desk Organizer
Last but definitely not least, we have this Oui jar desk organizer. Line up a few jars and suddenly pens, paperclips and loose change all have a home.
No shame in that. It’s the tidiest my desk has looked in months, lol!
- Desk chaos, finally sorted
- Jars group pens by type
- No glue needed to line them up
