Looking for all inclusive resorts in the us? Start with the kind of trip you actually want.
Snowy slopes, winding pools and cabins with mountain views offer very different vacation inspiration. You can go big on activities or put a pretty view at the top of your list.
These 20 images are inspiration, not a verified list of US all-inclusive properties. Most don’t establish a location or package details. Before booking, confirm the property’s address and exactly which meals, activities and fees your rate covers.
Resort settings and vacation ideas worth saving
snowy slopes and mountain views
We’re starting off with this gorgeous snowy mountain view. Two skiers stand on the slope with tree-covered ridges stretching out behind them.
If your ideal vacation involves skis rather than swimsuits, save this one.
For a similar trip, ask whether lift tickets and equipment rentals are included or booked separately.
a lazy river under the palms
How fun does this lazy river look? The bright blue water curves around planted islands while swimmers float past on tubes. I love the palms all along the edge.
Put a lazy river on your wish list if you’d rather float around than plan another busy afternoon.
a pool with a mountain backdrop
If you are looking for a pool setting with lots of greenery, this one is for you. Pale loungers follow the curved water’s edge beneath palms and leafy trees.
The mountain rising behind them is my favorite part.
horseback rides below the peaks
Would you choose a trail ride over an afternoon by the pool? These riders have an open grassy landscape ahead of them and sharp mountain peaks in the distance.
For a riding-focused getaway, ask about experience requirements and how many rides your package covers.
red rooftops beside the lake
I am obsessed with these red rooftops beside the dark blue lake. The towers, rows of balconies and pale cliffs give you so much to look at.
Fall-colored trees stretch all the way toward the mountains.
Save this view if lakeside buildings with lots of character are your kind of vacation inspiration.
firelight at Emerson Resort
This image is labeled Emerson Resort in the Catskills, NY. I love the chairs gathered around the round fire pit and the strings of lights beneath the pavilion.
If this evening setup catches your eye, check the resort’s current booking options. The label doesn’t establish that an all-inclusive plan is offered.
tent interiors and river adventures
There’s so much to love in this collage labeled The Resort at Paws Up. A tent-style bedroom has a freestanding copper-colored tub, while another scene shows horses moving through a river.
That tub may just be my favorite detail here. If you want a similar mix of distinctive lodging and outdoor activities, compare the accommodation and excursion options separately.
red rock above the pool
How gorgeous is that red rock formation? Water spills over the rocks in the foreground pool, with loungers and shaded seating just behind it.
I’d put the scenery first when looking for a similar stay. The pool is pretty, but that backdrop is what makes this image worth saving.
cabins and a little fire pit
Don’t want a big hotel building? This cabin setting gives you another direction to explore.
Raised porches face a grassy clearing with a chair beside a small fire pit.
I love the trees behind the cabins and the curtains around the covered porch.
blue water and palm trees
If your vacation mood board is mostly blue water and palm trees, this one belongs on it. The pool curves around an umbrella-covered seating area, with more chairs scattered beneath the palms.
That little striped seating nook is so cute. I’d look for shaded poolside seating when comparing similar properties.
another angle on the lakeside towers
Here’s another view of the same red-roofed lakeside building shown earlier, this time surrounded by green trees. You can see more of the lake and the long mountain ridge beyond it.

It’s another angle to save, not a separate resort to add to your shortlist.
twisting indoor water slides
The water-slide fans are going to love this one! Blue and green slides twist through the indoor space above a channel filled with swimmers and tubes.
If slides are a must for your trip, check admission rules and height requirements before choosing a room package.
a chapel and flower-filled gardens
This little chapel and its garden are so pretty. Low clipped hedges frame the flower beds, with bright pink blooms in front and tall narrow trees beside the doorway.
Save this if you’d rather spend part of your trip wandering garden paths than staying beside a pool.
a glowing lodge at dusk
I love the tall peaked roof and glowing windows in this lodge image. Curving pools, outdoor sofas and several fire features fill the foreground, with a forested slope behind the buildings.
Treat this as a mood-board image rather than a confirmed property listing. The promotional text doesn’t name the lodge.
open fields beside a lake
Want the landscape to be the main attraction? A small group of riders crosses the open field here, below a blue lake and a tree-covered hillside.
There’s very little development visible in this scene. I’d save it as inspiration for a countryside trip with room to explore.
a colorful sail on the beach
That pink, yellow and blue sail is such a cute detail against the turquoise water. A pier runs beside the sandy beach, with palms and low buildings tucked beneath the hillside.
The image alone doesn’t confirm a US location. If sailing is on your wish list, verify both the destination and boat access before booking.
round pools beneath the trees
These little circular pools may just be one of my favorite details on the list. They sit along the edge of a larger dark pond, surrounded by leafy trees, paths and covered seating.
Don’t assume they’re hot tubs from the picture alone. Ask about temperatures and access if that’s the feature you’re hoping for.
waterfalls and a poolside lawn
How pretty is this waterfall backdrop? Water runs down the stacked rock feature behind a small arched bridge.
White umbrellas and loungers sit on the lawn beside the foreground pool.
I especially love the different levels of water. There’s plenty of pool inspiration here without needing to add anything else.
a fire table among the palms
If you love outdoor dining setups, take a look at this long fire table. Chairs and place settings surround the flames, with winding paths, palms and low buildings farther back.
The image doesn’t identify the property, but it gives you a lovely feature to look for: outdoor gathering spaces with a view.
rocking chairs with a mountain view
Last but definitely not least, we have this cabin interior with a gorgeous mountain view. I love the rocking chairs on the porch and the big window framing the green hills.
If you’re drawn to this kind of stay, put a private porch on your wish list. The view is the detail I’d build the trip around.
