When I was 15, during my sophomore year exchange in Switzerland, there was this girl I only spoke to maybe twice. But every time I saw her in public, I could NOT stop staring because of how beautiful she was.
Not in a creepy way – she was just mesmerizing. So here I am, sharing everything I learned from observing her so you can become that girl people can’t stop looking at.
1. Create a Signature Look
This girl had a streetwear style, kind of Madison Beer vibes. She always looked sleek. No matter what she wore, she never overdid it – like she already knew what looked good on her. If you want to know how to look unreal without even trying, this is where it starts.
What’s your favorite hairstyle? Makeup vibe? Color palette? You can’t just be wearing everything and anything any other day just because you feel like it. If you try to wear whatever random people wear, you’re not going to feel comfortable in it. Find YOUR style that makes you feel AND look good at the same time. People will remember you the moment you walk into a room.
2. The Magnetic Factor: Posture and Presence
If you’re a girl who’s constantly slouching and looking insecure, staring down at her phone 24/7, people aren’t going to be interested. They’re not going to think you’re mesmerizing – they’re just going to think you’re insecure.
Here’s the thing most people don’t realize: presence is way more powerful than beauty. The way you stand, walk, and move can literally change how people see you.
If I were sitting in front of you guys right now, slouching and insecure like this, you wouldn’t be listening to my tips. I’d be saying something, but not portraying the image of it.
This girl was barely ever on her phone. When she was, she’d be sitting with perfect posture, only for a couple seconds. She was mostly present, talking to her friends. She didn’t bother checking herself out constantly. She just KNEW she was beautiful and confident. Even if you’re unsure – act a different way, and people will start treating you how you’re portraying yourself to the world.
3. The Actual Glow: Skin and Hair
Think of glowy skin and healthy hair as your canvas. When these shine, you don’t need makeup to look put together.
For skin: Keep it simple but efficient. Vitamin C serum is going to change how your skin feels and looks – it brightens everything. Use a good cleanser. REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP before bed (I cannot stress this enough). And never skip moisturizer – even if you have oily skin, because skipping it will actually make you break out more. I have extremely dry skin and use the Ultra Repair Cream by First Aid Beauty.
For hair: I’ve always struggled with my hair health, but I’ve gotten to a decent point. The key? Get trims even though it’s terrifying. I used to have really short hair (literally to my ears at one point), so every time a hairdresser takes off more than expected, I freak out. But your hair will grow longer in the long run if it’s healthy. Split ends won’t look good no matter what.
This girl always had extremely shiny hair with signature hairstyles – half up half down, beautiful straight hair, effortless curls. Have a couple hairstyles you KNOW look good on you. For me, that’s a blowout or straight hair. Use less heat, more hydrating products, and don’t overdo protein treatments (once a week max or your hair gets dull).
4. The Secret of Elegance: Less But Better
Mesmerizing people never look overdone. They know the power of simplicity – clean lines, minimal jewelry, sharp details.
When I tell you this girl looked so clean and put together… her blush was never harsh, her skin looked glowy, her hair was perfect – simply because she put more effort into small details rather than throwing in a bunch of stuff. No heavy makeup, no crazy hairstyles. Just what she knew worked for her.
Find a signature makeup look with minimal product. Light products, small amounts. I literally use like three products: a tiny bit of concealer blended with my finger (I have allergic rhinitis so my under eyes look dark), Rare Beauty blush in “Happy” (a TINY amount), and telescopic mascara. That’s it.
And please, PLEASE never forget sunscreen. I use Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen.
5. The Soul of It: Energy and Eyes
The REAL reason people get mesmerized? Your energy. This is how to look unreal without even trying – it’s not products, it’s presence.
Hold eye contact a little longer. This girl never looked down at her phone when talking to people. She was always smiling and looking at you. It feels so lovely when someone has that energy – like they actually want to hear what you’re saying and are interested in talking to you.
Speak softly but clearly. Make people feel seen.
When I talk about eyes, I’m not just talking mascara. I’m talking eye contact. If you’re too shy, look at their eyebrows or forehead – just that general direction works
